A viral video out of Russia has people questioning whether robots have officially had enough of us.
Footage from inside an electronics store shows a man in a black T-shirt shoving a humanoid robot, which immediately swings a leg forward as though trying to kick him back before employees step in and restrain it.
The clip has racked up millions of views, with plenty of people joking about robot uprisings and Terminator comparisons. Tech experts say the movement is more likely the robot's balance-recovery system overcorrecting to being pushed, not an intentional act of retaliation.
Whether or not the robot "meant it," the video captures something increasingly common as humanoid machines show up in stores, restaurants, and other public spaces: people are starting to treat robots like people.
