A disputed blitz call at a girls' flag football tournament in Revere, Massachusetts, ended with a coach and a referee getting physical in front of the kids.

Video shot by a grandparent shows the two men being pulled apart by a crowd of adults as children watch. Witnesses told WCVB that the coach of a Massachusetts Outlaws team started yelling in the face of longtime referee Jeff Etienne over a call that flipped within a single play, and that Etienne pushed him away when he wouldn't back off. Athletic Business reported that parents restrained the coach and led him away. The New York Post described the two as trading blows, while Etienne says he defended himself with a push.

Etienne, who has officiated flag football for about 20 years, says nothing like this has happened before, and that he and the coach talked it out after the game, apologized and hugged. The Saturday tournament had girls' divisions starting at 6U, and the coach has not been publicly named.
