A Crumbl Cookies location in Charlotte's Midtown neighborhood is now the most talked-about bakery in the Carolinas.
A now-viral video shows one woman pouring a hair product onto another woman's head and working it in, with at least two employees visible inside the working kitchen. Crumbl called the behavior inappropriate in a statement Tuesday and says it closed the store, discarded all the dough on site, brought in a professional cleaning crew, and took action against the employees involved, though it hasn't specified what that action was.
North Carolina's Department of Agriculture, which inspects the location, says it only learned of the video Tuesday and plans an unannounced follow-up inspection. The store is one of six Crumbl locations in the immediate Charlotte area.
