A quiet backyard in Big Sky, Montana, turned into a tense wildlife encounter this week.
Video shared by NBC Montana shows a moose charging into a woman's yard while her dogs were nearby, prompting her to react quickly, including a minor tumble, before using spray to keep the animal away from her pets. The footage was shared by Shelly Thorburn and has been circulating widely since. No injuries were reported.
It's the latest in a string of close wildlife encounters making the rounds this summer, a reminder that even a quiet backyard in moose country can turn eventful fast.
