A college sophomore sitting directly behind President Trump at a rally in Marietta, Georgia, has become an unlikely viral star.
Video from the event shows Rylan Ferguson, a University of Alabama student, mirroring Trump's hand gestures, facial expressions, and speaking cadence throughout much of the speech, timing his movements almost beat for beat with the president's. Clips spread quickly online, with many viewers assuming he was mocking Trump, though Ferguson later told Inside Edition he's a supporter and wasn't making fun of him.
The moment is the latest example of a rally attendee unexpectedly stealing attention from the main event, joining a growing list of viral bystanders who've overshadowed the speeches happening right in front of them.
