Two Bull Moose Brawl in a Colorado Street, and One Gets Slammed to the Pavement

Two bull moose settled their differences in the middle of a Steamboat Springs, Colorado, street this weekend, and the whole thing was caught on camera.

Video posted by Colorado meteorologist Joe Ruch, filmed from inside his vehicle, shows the pair locking antlers in a back-and-forth battle that spills down a small hill toward the road. As they pick up speed, one charges the other and slams it onto the pavement, ending the fight. OutKick reported that the downed moose got back on its feet and ran off, wanting no more of it.

It's peak rutting season for moose in Colorado, when antler-locking is a regular occurrence, though getting body-slammed onto asphalt is not. The footage is a reminder that the best seat for a moose street brawl is a car, a safe distance away.
